Volvo Scheduled Maintenance. Service Intervals & Details

Let's take a look at the terms of your complimentary Volvo scheduled maintenance program. This way, you'll know what vehicles are covered, when you're supposed to bring them in, and what service items are included. Your Volvo scheduled maintenance program covers:

  • Model Year 2013 & later
  • 4, 5, 6, & 8CYL engines (Including Volvo XC90 repair)
  • Hybrid engines (including Volvo XC60 repair)
  • EV Recharge models (as specified in your Volvo XC40 Repair & Warranty booklet)
  • Services at every 10k miles for the first three years

All models from 2013 forward will receive Genuine Volvo Synthetic Oil provided by Castrol at the time of service. Keep in mind that Volvo Cars will allow you to receive complimentary service once per year or within +/- 1,500 miles of the recommended service threshold. In other words, you may visit for service between 8,500 and 11,500 miles. Service deferred beyond those limits may actually result in costs as this is outside of your warranty agreement.

Volvo Scheduled Maintenance for Volvo Trucks

We love truckers, and we're happy to see you just south of I-20 at our service department. If you have a newer Volvo D13 engine, then you know it's absolutely essential to maintain your high-output performance with diligent service. Service with us every 15k miles (from 30k forward) or in approximately 750-hour intervals. When you come in for a Volvo D13 oil change, we'll look at your:

  • Fuel system (injector cups and filter housing)
  • Valve cover gaskets
  • Oil sender
  • Crank sensor
  • EGR system
  • Aftertreatment system

All of these touchpoints are critical to maintaining optimal performance for the long haul, as many early Volvo D13 engines are already logging 500k miles or more. High specification Volvo 15w 40 diesel oil is used to maintain peak performance and lower emissions.
